James Horner! You're busted!

I knew I couldn't have been the only person to hear it! Ha!

Oh, by the way...

On New Year's Eve, Wife and I decided to go see the new (and amazing) film Avatar. We were mesmerized the entire time. The almost three hours of sitting in the theater could have felt like nothing more than 20 minutes had I not noticed one, little thing.

THAT DAMN TRUMPET LINE AGAIN!! (see here)

And it happens MANY times during the movie. I had no idea who composed the music until I heard that one, stupid sound again. I suppose film composers tend to get hired based on the sounds of their previous films; not so much the ability to come up with something new and fresh.

I know this won't be the last time. James Horner, we'll meet again.

You thought you could put a fast one past me, but no sir! You've been caught!

Wife and I decided to watch an old classic tonight; Willow. Ah the good childhood memories. Well pretty soon after we started, I hear this quick trumpet line in the background. And then I hear it again. And again! It was driving me mad because I knew it was a very dominant sound from another movie.

BUT WHAT MOVIE?

I wracked my brain and scoured the web. I then turned to my DVD collection and started scanning. And there it was. I new it the second I saw it. Enemy at the Gates!

James Horner, you're busted! Thanks for making it impossible to enjoy Willow now without thinking about Russian snipers.
