The Internet? Bah!

Ouch! I guess some people just aren't meant to predict the future.

James Horner! You're busted!

I knew I couldn't have been the only person to hear it! Ha!

FlippyCat!

Last post of the day, I promise.

This guy's videos are great! He definitely a master of toppling dominoes, but he goes above and beyond by creating little themes and scenarios for each video. And to top it all off, his cat is always standing way too close to the dominoes so it keeps you on your toes!

Click here to check out his collection of videos on YouTube.

A few of my favorites include Dominearth, Holy Craps, U-Turn and Happy New Year YouTube (2010).

Enjoy! =)

James Horner! Again!

Oh, by the way...

On New Year's Eve, Wife and I decided to go see the new (and amazing) film Avatar. We were mesmerized the entire time. The almost three hours of sitting in the theater could have felt like nothing more than 20 minutes had I not noticed one, little thing.

THAT DAMN TRUMPET LINE AGAIN!! (see here)

And it happens MANY times during the movie. I had no idea who composed the music until I heard that one, stupid sound again. I suppose film composers tend to get hired based on the sounds of their previous films; not so much the ability to come up with something new and fresh.

I know this won't be the last time. James Horner, we'll meet again.

Twenty Ten!

Wow, it's been a while, hasn't it?

When I started this blog, I told myself I would never have to type those words because I would never go "that long" without making a post. I guess I'm a liar. Sorry about that.

But here we are! Twenty ten! A new decade! I have to turn 30 this year! Hooray!

The past few months have been busy, but still ordinary. There hasn't been a lot to report. Wife had a few months of "growing up" when it came to her diabetes. She's doing a lot better now. We took a weekend trip up to Grand Marais for my 29th birthday back in September. Halloween had candy. Thanksgiving was simple (which I like).

Christmas was wonderful. Wife and I flew back to the land of earthquakes for the holidays and we loved every minute of it. It was nice to get away and relax for a week. It was great seeing the 'rents in 3D as opposed to Skype.

Wife has a new job as a nanny. She's enjoying it a lot. The family seems like a good fit and they all seem overjoyed to have her around. That makes me happy.

Next on the list is to finally find a place to live where it will just be myself, Wife and Cat. We've never lived alone, so the concept is long overdue. We're shooting for the end of February or so. There's a lot of snow in MN this year as a result of it being so cold that it won't freakin' melt. We'll see what the weather is like in a few months.

I'm sorry again for going AWOL. =)

Does this make me weak?

Hey, look who it is. It's my custom joystick. But wait, what's he sitting on?

It's an Amazon box! What is he hiding from me? Better open it up and find out!

Hmm, kinda hard to tell. I kind of feel like I'm looking at...

What the WHAT!?! That's right! =D

Enough with the suspicious stares! Enough already! I caved, alright! I'm weak!

But what's to come of the custom joystick? Well, unfortunately, it doesn't work very well. And at this point, it's not really worth fixing. I think what I plan to do is save up my money again, buy another joystick (the Hori Real Arcade Pro EX), and replace all of its buttons with the Sanwa buttons that I already own. That seems like the best plan so far.

Sorry custom joystick. You were fun to build, but the number of things I did wrong are not worth trying to fix. Maybe next time.
